Booths for International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML) and Neural Information Processing Systems Foundation (NeurIPS) Conference
There are many considerations when designing event spaces, including but not limited to maintaining a consistent brand identity, how attendees will engage with the space from any angle, whether the information presented is fitting for the audience, what furniture is needed to accommodate more meaningful connections, the visibility of the design with the furniture in the space, any AV and electrical needs, how sizing and colors differ from the digital to print, whether there will be any structural considerations (support beams to block messaging, panels dividing the back wall, etc.).
The booth designs on the left are renderings produced for two different international event sponsorships. With a focus on recruitment, the purpose of these designs were to establish a foundational understanding of Virtu Financial and showcase our business prowess to prospective new hires. The positioning and intended format of this booth significantly differs from the previously shown design for TradeTech.
TradeTech Escalator Branding
Seen by every attendee upon entering the conference, this is an important touchpoint for brand visibility. By sticking to the basics and giving a few high-level descriptions of the business, the messaging becomes much more palatable to those who are on the move and likely have a lot on their mind. It’s also crucial to consider how to direct people’s eyes as they all emerge from the same side of the escalators. By not putting the Virtu logo at the forefront, people are encouraged to engage with the message content first, hopefully prompting them to be more curious about who placed the advertisement, and subsequently making the design more impactful and memorable.
